This was a basic hotel and other than a kettle had every thing needed. It is located easy walk from Vatican with a bus route close to travel to coliseum. The concierge George and his colleagues were friendly helpful and informative. This was an excellent good quality if no frills hotel to explore Rome from.

Friendly staff , always happy to help with our questions We did find the Stairs to the local shops a bit daunting but we found a way round that Great having fridge in room ,super shower , bed s bit hard for me but was always clean and fresh Enjoyable stay , loved the coffee machine A nice place to stay Thank you for making my trip Very enjoyable Elizabeth Lacey

Disgusting..... I would not give this 1 star. I refused to stay the 3 days we were booked, half drunk water bottles in fridge. Dirt,filth, feaces. The noise was absolutely unbearably. I had 3 days booked here and we arrived late due to flight delays, we then missed our connection to get to the hotel. We arrived after 14 hours travelling and just burst into tears. There was no where to have a drink or food so had to go and get food as I am a diabetic and they had nothing for me to have at the hotel and I was feeling ill. We were then kept up all night with people shouting and screaming in corridor.... scraping of chairs along floors and the bin from another hotel being banged all night. The guy said the hotels full and we couldn't upgrade. Absolutely mortified at the state of this room. The picture showcasing this hotel are false and misleading. They clearly don't like people from the UK too as they are definitely not a fan of GB. After being kept awake all night and the travel time I had been awake for 36 hours at this time and this holiday is my respite as I'm a full time carer. We told them we can't stay and we want out money back for the days we didn't stay.... They agreed and told us yo go through our booking providers which is Agoda which Agoda are stating Alessandrino are refusing to pay the money back I also paid my taxes twice....I paid through the booking and again at the hotel.... ‼️ In my opinion both Agoda and this hotel are scamming people by misleading them into showcasing picture and giving false information. I wouldnt recommend the Hotel Alessandrino in Rome to anyone‼️ My daughter is also making a complaint with her own photographs.

Hotel staff very accommodating . Clean room with hot water. Hill surprisingly steep first day but got easier throughout the week but the 34 bus stops many times a day outside the bar 100 metres from the hotel so can use that if necessary. Upper terrace wonderful place to sunbathe and chill with beautiful 360°views of the surrounding area and St. Peters dome . Great drinks machines on ground floor. Middle terrace great for viewing the local parakeet population. Make sure you validate your bus tickets when you get on the bus else you will be fined.....a lot as we were lol 😂. All in all a fab time.

Mmm TA said the hotel was on a hill .. it was .. a small hill unfortunately the other two steep walkways up from the train station were even worse. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable with a fridge .. very small.. but sadly no tea or coffee making facilities.. the roof top in the pictures must be edited it is in fact very small with half dead plants in pots and looks to need some serious refurbishment. There is no where to get breakfast nearby other than a small cafe and shop a few yards down .. no bear restaurants and nothing available in the hotel. The whole area around about the hotel looked unkempt, scruffy, overflowing bins and roadwork netting up all over the place. Staff ok but beware your tourist tax at €6 pppn. Payable as you leave. English is spoken but any queries other than immediate hotel enquires were met with indifference and really they couldn’t be bothered.. unfortunately like most of the Italians elsewhere that we encountered..Rome? Meh!
